One hour of the original Sweet

He correctly answered the following question:

According to Andy Scott, what is the SWEET's motto?

The Answer was: US AGAINST THE WORLD

Well done Jimmy (he's the one on the right)

Previous winners of Woody Competitions are below:

WELL DONE TO PAUL CORDEUX who has won A COPY OF THE SWEET ROCK GOLD CASSETTE

(Action, Lies in your Eyes, Fox on the Run, SFA, Miss Demeanour, Fever of Love, Live for Today (No f,ing on this version), Healer, Lost Angels, Windy City, Funk it Up, Lady Starlight, Cockroach, Stairway to the Stars, White mice, Why don't you do it to Me?)

The question was..........

a.  Who is playing the guitar? b. What song is he playing?

And the answer was ANDY SCOTT playing TEENAGE RAMPAGE

Paul moved from England to Australia when he was seven and is a big Arsenal fan. His two daughters, eight and six (these Aussies give their children strange names), are into the sweet and love dancing to Blitz and Fox. A copy of the cassette SWEET ROCK GOLD is on it's way and for once Paul won't have to cough to cover up the "f" word as this has the American version of Live for Today.

Well done Steve Baily (on the left)

He won a genuine 1970's badge of Brian, Steve, Andy and Mick by answering this simple question:

According to an article by Margot Sonnendecker, what was it that the album DESOLATION BOULEVARD lacked?

The answer was of course (kicking yourselves (blokes) in the) "BALLS"

So much for Margot's musical appreciation!

Steve Baily is a Sweet Fan going back to 1972 and he is still attending the concerts of ASSWEET. By an amazing coincidence it turns out we spoke very briefly at the last Roadhouse gig when I handed him one of Andy's cast off plectrums.

Jan "the man" Achmann has won a pristine copy of the Russian EP (33rpm) with Funny Funny, Chop Chop , Jeanie, and Daydream on board. He was the first person to email me the answer to the following Sweet question:

What is the connection between Slowmotion, Yesterdays Hero and Jesus?

And the answer: Paul Nicholas - he played a demo version of Slowmotion for the Sweet to record. Sweet did a demo version of Yesterdays Hero that he recorded, and he starred as Jesus on stage in London in a rather super musical demo of Jesus' life.

Jan - winner of Russian E.P.
