BCSWEET
With a bill containing TREXTASY, SLADEII and BCSWEET the evening was set to be a real 70's heaven. Why they had supplied numbered tickets I do not know. No-one was seated as the BCSWEET merged onto the stage with sirens wailing and lights whirling. Below are a few pics grabbed as I surfed in, on and through the crowd.
As usual I've compressed files for hopefully reasonably swift loading.

With a nice expanse of stage the guys were able to strut their stuff to great effect.
Pic left: Dave Glover on bass, in the distance Gerry Shepherd, Glen Williams. Right: Dave Glover

The pain of those high notes is evident for Dave Glover. Glen masters that "BRIAN" stance".

Left: Glen is often mistaken for Brian by "fans". I asked him how he dealt with this. He was blunt in his reply. "I tell 'em "I'm not!". After this amount of time, a real fan would surely know Brian has gone!"
Right: Gerry Shepherd of the Glitterband is quiet and shy before the curtain is raised, but on stage he becomes a Guitarsmith. It was as if he'd been with the band for years, not just a few hours! As he said "It's the songs - I grew up with them. Sod the "music" it's the songs that count!"

As Dave said "It's difficult to get a good picture of a drummer." And I agree. But my new millennium resolution is to get a GOOD picture of Jerome on the skins. He is quite frankly a find of astronomic proportions! He is a premier league skin basher!
And on the right...EXCELLENT........... How the best dressed SWEET FAN is dressing these days. These guys had phoned every day until the tickets for this gig had gone on sale and had "front row middle". In the following pics you may spot them.

This was a '70's bash, and as Noddy himself said a few months ago "When you talk about the seventies the one thing everyone agrees on is
"WORRA GRATE TIME".
