ELLIOTT TUFFIN'S TRIBUTE TO HIS FRIEND MICK TUCKER WHO PASSED AWAY 14th FEBRUARY 2002
Just three days after the worlds greatest drummer went to join his friend Brian Connolly for the gig of all gigs, Elliott Tuffin was on stage giving it large for his friend Mick Tucker. Joined by fans and friends, tributes were paid to the man who entranced millions with his own style of drumming that refused to hide in the background, but fought it's way forward to barge shoulders with Brian Connolly's vocals, Andy Scott's guitar and Steve Priest's bass and give us the sound that is Sweet.

Frank gave a warm tribute to his old friend, whilst Elliott reminded everyone that Mick wouldn't want us to mope around.

Every song on the night was either a Sweet song or one of Mick's personal favourites and Elliott dedicated every one to his friend. Alone on stage for the final song of the evening, Elliott sang Freebird for Mick, and I for one will never be able to listen to that song again without thinking of that stick twirling master craftsman of the Ludwigs -
